Goal Specific Rules

Collisions & Enemies

• Collide goals can have the player spin out, the enemy disappearing, or both.
• Bro. Collision can be completed with collision to their projectiles or their bodies.
• Chargin’ Chucks must be hit with Green Shells, not abducted by UFOs.
• Seagulls which follow players are spawns such as any other fish or enemy found in the wild. They can be spotted when they spawn as a cluster of 4-6 in the air, and will follow the player 5-8 seconds after they drive under the cluster if the player continues to drive in the water. They do not care if the player is tricking.

Races & Missions

• A “Spontaneous Race” includes any race with laps or competing NPCs.
• The “Tribute Races” are missions with “tribute” in their names. These include Ghost Valley 1, 2, and 3; Koopa Beach 1; Vanilla Lake; and Choco Island 1 and 2.
• Cup goals are treated like “Visit” goals, but are visited in the order of their respective Grand Prix. Warping is allowed if the track has been visited.
• Completing Missions “Near” a track means it is in that track’s biome, within the bounds of its scenery, but not necessarily the track’s boundary. When in doubt, consider the nearest track and its surrounding biome.

World & Exploration

• Shooting stars are any stars bouncing around naturally outside of item boxes.
• Eating at Yoshi’s Food Stations does not include vehicles, Toad stands, train stations, or Vending Machines. They must be Yoshi’s restaurants.
• Branding goals can be completed by colliding with or viewing the brand in camera mode. Any representation of the brand counts. Brands cannot be completed with stickers on a player’s vehicle or costume.
• Medallions in a region means the Peach Medallion was collected on or around the tracks included in that Grand Prix. When in doubt, consider the nearest track and its surrounding biome.

Characters & Selfies

• Selfie with X NPCs must be with driver NPCs.
• All character unlocks included in the run can be done with UFOs as of patch 1.3.
