Chaos Mode

Chaos Mode is not a standalone modifier. It’s a label that appears when you enable all available generation modifiers for your current game mode.

When every generation modifier that’s available for the current mode is turned on, the modifier list displays CHAOS MODE in place of the individual generation modifier names.

This means board generation runs with minimal constraints:

  • No board category limits
  • No line category limits
  • No weighting (all goals equally likely)
  • No progression zones (goals placed anywhere)

The result is a completely unpredictable board where any goal can appear anywhere, with no balancing rules applied.

Even in Chaos Mode, some rules are always enforced:

  • Tags: only one objective per tag can appear on the board
  • Forced positions: objectives with designated positions are still placed there
  • Individual limits: objectives still respect their per-board copy limits

Chaos Mode removes the balancing constraints, not the structural ones.
