Shiny Goals

The Shiny Goals modifier adds a special visual effect to randomly selected goals on the board, giving them a glowing border and background.

Random goals are marked as “shiny” with a visual effect. What shiny goals mean in gameplay is entirely up to you.

If left on auto, the number of shiny goals depends on the board geometry:

Grid and Pyramid boards (Bingo / Ascend / Summit)

Section titled “Grid and Pyramid boards (Bingo / Ascend / Summit)”

The number of shiny goals is the square root of the total board size (rounded down).

For example: a 5×5 board (25 cells) gets 5 shiny goals. An 8×8 board (64 cells) gets 8.

In auto mode, every set of 3 goals contains exactly 1 randomly selected shiny goal.

You can manually set the number of shiny goals from 1 to 15. Goals are randomly selected across the entire board.

Shiny goals can mean anything you decide:

  • Bonus points or achievements
  • Special completion requirements
  • Alternative win conditions
  • Personal challenges or restrictions
  • Any custom rule you want to apply
