OBS Setup

Lockout.Live has built-in support for OBS browser sources, including transparency, a custom cursor (since OBS doesn’t show your system cursor), and a guided setup flow.

  1. Create your game board as normal in your default browser.

  2. Go to the Settings tab and click Streaming Browser Source. Copy the link using Copy Link.

  3. In your OBS scene, add a Browser source.

  4. Right click the source, select Properties, and paste the link into the URL field.

  5. Close the properties dialog with OK.

  6. The first-time setup will guide you through the rest.

When the browser source loads for the first time, a setup modal walks you through two steps:

Choose whether to show or hide the Player Toolbar in OBS:

  • Hide Toolbar: cleaner look, more board space
  • Show Toolbar: quick access to goal actions and settings

You can change this later in the App Settings.

The setup will show you the recommended width and height for your browser source. The height adjusts based on your toolbar preference.

Set these dimensions in the browser source properties in OBS.

Right click the browser source and select Interact to open an interaction window. From here you can click goals, use the toolbar, and play as normal.

The custom cursor is only visible inside the interact window, giving your viewers a clear indication of where you’re clicking.

If your browser source dimensions don’t match the recommended size, you’ll see a warning overlay on the board. This is dismissible and won’t reappear until you reconfigure the setup.

If the dimensions are significantly off, the overlay will block interaction until you fix them.

You can re-run the first-time setup at any time from the Player Toolbar. Open the toolbar and click Reconfigure OBS Setup to go through the steps again.
